I feel like a creepy old woman……>_>….<_<

but whatever….I love men…^_^

I was researching host clubs today….. I’ve come across a plethera of promising clubs.

Because I feel the need to share my evil…I will be posting the clubs I found here.

They are as follows:(*=no web adress)

Club glitter

Club Eden

Club Luxury

Club Prince

Club Fixer

Club Bonds

Club Since You….

It was funny because there was a picture with a bunch of host club signs and next to one of them, rather randomly, was a 12012 poster. It was entertaining…in fact, I will share the humor… here.

Also….small comment about the Ayabie concert (will post a review when I can btw). Take hito’s tasty riffs paired with the dumming expertise of kenzo ( not to mention the rest of the band) had me, for lack of a better term, quivering with desire…..lol.

This is just a brief post.. I’ll make a full report later.

The concert was great, through they all seemed a bit tired (before and directly after).

Chiacgo screamed the loudest for Intetsu. It seemed to embaress him a little, but he smiled very widely…

they played a lot of songs, but I’ll give the basic run down of everything later cause I’m very tired.

a quick overview:

Secilia RUNA is decent. Ryan liked them.

uBuGoe came next, but I’m going to talk about them last.

Next band was watashime Slug. Oh god. Don’t go see them. They’re unbelievable suck. People did the following while THEY WERE PERFORMING:

-sat down

-left

-turned on a light, and did make up

-giggled  and talked

They were just completely ridicous. They were also having a lot of technical problems with the mic during one song.  But, that really doesn’t excuse them from sucking. Ryohei produces them, what was he thinking?

Also the question must be asked: What does it mean if the audience (even the first row) forgets to respond (particpate) so you have to remind them how?

Then Angelique who played the EXACT SAME SET LIST as before. Really boring, Kyoko didn’t hit the notes well. I don’t care for her voice.

BOUNTY is worth seeing. They are really good. AND it seems that everyone came to see them anyway.

The last band was CANZEL — they’re a joke. We only stayed for part of one song. I couldn’t take them. They are what’s bad about visual kei.

OKAY — so back to uBuGoe.

They played 4 songs, but I didn’t really catch the titles of them (Two Takashi didn’t introduce, and the other two he said so fast I didn’t catch them). I’m going to keep my eye on Yoko’s blog to see if he manages to post a set list.

They’re using a support guitarist (on top of Yuki)… dunno why.

All of the songs sound like FAIRY FORE… I don’t know what I was expecting…..

Shigure ( I forget if that’s his name) seems like a really good bassist. Yuki was just having a ball on stage. Takashi was too for the matter. Yuki sang for a bit in the 4th song. And Takashi still knows how to rock out. I still think Yoko was the best drummer on the stage last night.
A lot of people came to see them too (many many cheers for them :) ).
The funny moment of the night: When they were leaving the stage Yoko tripped on Yuki’s guitar.

But yesterday (and today), I’ve had a bad case of food allergy so I’ve been itchy and spotty for the last 24 hours. I would love to know what I ate that I’m allergic to because I’ve been itchy for soo long now.

In any case, I’m coming to the end of it (itchy) so I’ll catch up then.

Usually I’d talk about every act at the concert, but right now, I really don’t care. There were 8, and they were all indie. If you go to see any of them, go to biene. They put on a great (I mean great) show.

Now to the only act anyone really cares to hear about: Jun & Iori.

Well, let’s put it this way. One Mago member is great, two Mago members is awesome — but what is three Mago members?

Unbelieveable.

That’s right I said three Mago members. Jun  (adorable as always), Iori (really f-ing tall), and ………………………………………….

……….

……………………………Matoi.

Okay so, I was expecting an acoustic live like the ones that Jun & Iori have done  previously. This wasn’t one of those lives. Not at all. It opened with a new song (I think cause Jun kept checking Iori’s guitar playing and Iori appeared to f-up the words here and there) and Iori singing, Jun and Iori playing electric, a really young bassist, and Matoi on drums (eeveryone calls him Matoi-san …. seriously). The 2nd song Iori also sang, it was ‘Surely’ (I think). The boy can sing now (somehow), and he’s really good.  Between song two and three, there was a little talk session which Jun lead. I can’t understand him at all, he talks too fast (Jui I could somewhat follow as long as I knew some of the words). I caught the word CD and that was pretty much it.

When Jun first started talking he walked up the mic where Iori had just been and gestered from the top of the mic to Iori’s head, indicating his height. Then he gestered to his own head and the mic, noticable difference. Jun introduced everyone — first it was Matoi on drums (Matoi-san, scream for him). then it was Iori on guitar (Iori-kun, scream for him), then Jun introduced the bassist as ’shin-chan’ (silence). The he introduced himself  as Jun on guitar and vocals (lots of screaming). The 3rd song I happen to know pretty well, I just couldn’t believe they played it. It was ‘20th century boy’. Jun can’t say English very well, the chorus which is ‘20th century boy, I wanna be your toy’, Jun just didn’t sing it that way. The fourth song was flake (from Jun’s solo work).

At the fifth song, they began to change it up, Iori put down his guitar and moved back towards the drums and Matoi headed to the front. Jun was talking about something (sorry I don’t know what). Then as Iori sits down, Jun realizes what Iori was doing and started screaming (It sounded like screaming). about wanting to play the drums. Matoi settled it by having 3-way rock paper scissors (Shin-chan played too, but I don’t think he wanted to play drums). Iori won all 3 rounds and Jun had to play guitar and sing backup for Matoi. They some old Jpop tune that I don’t know, but the entire crowd knew. At one point, Matoi said something to Jun about the way he was singing the chorus and Jun got really obnoxious and sang it like hide (I hate that voice trick, it’s ugly), which lead to the crowd singing it like Jun. Matoi can sing really well too by the way. They had just about ended the song when they decided to go through the chorus again and during the middle of it, the curtain closed on them.

As for me, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole set.

We arrived right before curtain time b/c I read the door time wrong (they opened at 4:45 pm). The first act up was Modern Suite. I was looking forward to seeing them b/c they’re a loop ash band and Michiru usually has good taste. They performed 3 songs. My basic impressions were that they were good, they sound a bit like Alice nine., and the vocalist uses a conductor’s wand to gesture for the hand stuff.

Next up was Serial Number. They played 5 songs. They were a good, funny, hand band, although they are pretty boybandish (sorry).Everyone in the band sings, which is interesting. The vocalist made fun of guitarist # 2 for his shortness and we were taught the Serial Number dance number (I think they have a song titled ‘dance number’ too).

Then came Sugar. Sugar is kind of like what would happen if D & Daigo Stardust had a child. It wasn’t exactly pretty, but it wasn’t ugly either. The vocalist has a really good voice, but I couldn’t stand what he was wearing (corset without a shirt… nipples). The vocalist  comes off a bit gay too (he might just be more drag queenish though). They’re a fairly flashly band, but also seriously good musicians. The music was jazzy. They performed 5 songs as well. The vocalist tired to be sexy all the time. At the end, he was falling out of his corset.

Act four was Screw. I didn’t think too highly of them to begin with. They were rather boring and they act like Dir en grey, but they aren’t Dir en grey and this is painfully obvious. They’re too young to be Dir en grey. I just wonder if there’s some school for the Dir en grey clones to go to. The vocalist said ‘fuck you’ at one point and jumped into the crowd (this was around song 4) which is when it got interesting. Vocalist told the crowd to saku (I don’t like to saku, it’s dumb). The bassist kissed one of the guitarists in the ear (interesting).  Song 5 was the most interesting. The vocalist (Byou??), decided to undo his pants, and dump some water down them, then he drank so, spit it down his pants, and then used his water bottle as a penis and ‘peed’ on the crowd (special). Vocalist also groped self. He has a good career as a stripper if this doesn’t work out. They played 6 songs.

Next up was Duel Jewel. Now, I didn’t like Duel Jewel the first time around (in 2006). I thought they were boring. They’re still kind of boring. All of their music sort of sounds the same to me. They’ve improved since the last time I saw them though. They also played 6 songs. One guitarist has a shirt tattoed on his chest (he showed us). I saw a guy doing the hand stuff during Duel Jewel, I didn’t know any guy could be that lame.

Vidoll was next. I love Vidoll. This was great. Rame came out and threw candy at us from his bag. He’s really cute in person, I mean reallty cute. They were in the new outfits and I am somewhat pleased to note that Rame’s does involve a skirt. I don’t know what the first song was, I’ve never heard it before, but Jui did the mouth-hand thing that he does so well. He also did the mouth-tongue thing (for those who care). Song 2 was from Bastard. Rame’s a flirt. Song 3 was Lost voice from Bastard. Rame plays his bass extremely low (around his knees). Jui’s insamely skinny, someone should feed him. During the talk between song 3 and 4, Jui thanked lolita since they are the ones who got the event going. He also teased the crowd by starting to take of his jacket and then coyly asked if they wanted him to take it off. When the several people in the crowd shouted yes, he called them hentai (that’s what I got out of it anyway, I know he called someone hentai). Jui has absolutely no butt at all. Song four was a new one called ‘blue star’ and it’s pretty good (it’s the new single that comes out soon). The last song for them was ‘tree’ from Bastard and Jui teased the crowd by half taking off his jacket again.

Lastly we had Shoujo Lolita 23ku. Ban’s gotten really cute since the last time I saw them in concert, he used to be such a gremlin. His drum kit is shinya-like in it’s hugeness. Sou looks like a girl. Saw up the bassist’s shorts because they were too damn short and he leaned his leg up on an amp. They’re really good. I think I knew the third song from something. Ban plays with a huge grin and sings along. Sou still performs barefoot. The 7th song is from a mini album that I have and I don’t remember the song title either. They performed 8 songs (1 was encore).

And that’s it.

I considered saving this for tomorrow – cause I’m pretty tired, but I’ll forget stuff if I don’t. This will be a short live report because I’m tired.

Right before the concert started, Ryan and I started to talk to a Canadian girl name Yuu (spelling I am sure of), she’s a Deshabillz fan. So I went to the frontish with her and Ryan went all of the way to the back (he’s very tall). As we’re waiting up front for the concert to start (it was delayed like 20 minutes), we (Yuu and I) realize that everyone is staring to the back of the venue. Shinjuku Holiday is tiny, I don’t know how they get nearly 300 people in there. So anyway, we look to the back and there he is standing right behind Ryan. Kisaki. That is nuts. Anyway, back to the concert.

Megaromania came on. Now, I didn’t know exactly what to expect from them. They sound a lot like Mago, yes a lot like Mago. I decided at the beginning that I better participate since I was standing directly in front of the vocalist and under a light. They put on a really good show, I was surprised because they’re soo new. A warning, they are a participation band. The vocalist wants to see you having fun. I mean wants to really really bad. He pointed at the girl standing in front of Yuu and spoke directly to her about it, after hinting through the entire set. If you don’t want to bother with the hand stuff or at least moving around a lot, stand in the back cause he’ll embarrass you into participating.

Deshabillz was the main act. A lot of the teenage girls left between the acts, I wouldn’t have.

Deshabillz is everything visual kei should be. I don’t really care that only the vocalist was performing (abet with a back up band), and that many of the songs were new. New or not, they fit the older style to a tee. The vocalist (I should have looked up his name, but I’m too tired) is great. It’s old school vk at it’s best. Why can’t it be like this still? No hand movements, dramatic as hell… emotional…. it was awesome.

[EDIT:] Kisaki posted the set list for Deshabillz and I’m going to steal it from him.

We waited in line in semi-confusion about whether we were going into the venue in ticket order. Turns out we were. After settling in towards the back of the venue (meaning second row behind the bar) wa waited about 20 minutes (maybe?) for the concert to start.

Bergerac was up first. Itsuki isn’t as pretty in person as he is in photos, however he’s a better vocalist live than on CD. Tatsuha is really small… I don’t remember that many details. Itsuki was talking about KAT-TUN for some reason. They were pretty good, but I didn’t know any of the songs that they were playing. Strangely, there wasn’t a lot of hand stuff with Bergerac (I expected they’d be huge in it). There was some  minor feedback during their set which I didn’t focus on, but I should have known that it was going to come back to haunt me.

Angelique was inugami circus dan in disguise. They were ok, but for whatever reason I couldn’t get into them. I knew from the moment they stepped on stage that they were older, but I didn’t know until I looked at the flyers when we got back to the hotel that they were inugami circus dan. Kyoko is a decent vocalist and the guitarist is pretty good. no major mishaps during their set.

Billy was really fucking good. I was surprised. I’ve never paid attention to them at all. Their vocalist is cute, really cute on stage. He tried with everything he had, and the crowd only sort of cared. I didn’t know any of their songs, but I’m thinking about them now. They also had some minor feedback with the mic and the drum kit needed to be adjusted. Billy did a bit of the hand stuff, but not to the point it was scary.

Rentrer en soi was really awesome, but had all sorts of equipment problems. First it was the drum kit needing to be adjusted, then it was feedback… and then the speakers nearly fell on the guitarist to the left side of the stage. It was exciting. The vocalist was really really hot. It was …. good. I can’t say enough good things about them… go see them. Now.

Jully was nuts. Really fucking nuts. Insanely nuts. The crowd really woke up for them. The vocalist is a cross between Ryutaro from Plastic Tree and Yuya from SID, meaning of course that he’s nuts like Yuya. Jully is so into the hand stuff, that it’s stupid. They are a hand band, their music was written for it. At oone point the crowd was so into the hand stuff that the vocalist said ’sugoi’ and started laughing. He continued to laugh through the rest of the show… I think it amazed him. Jully also had a bit of equipment problems, the drums had to be adjusted and the bass needed to be adjusted.

176BIZ is a hand band. Completely a hand band. That is all they exist for. Don’t get me wring, they’re good, but it. was. stupid. I just don’t get the hand thing to begin with and then being told to ’saku’ annoys me. I don’t ’saku’. 176BIZ is the band that everyone came to see, so the crowd was really into it. They also had equipment problems (drums, bass, and feedback). It was Ko (the bassist) ’s birthday, so sang to him in the encore.
