okay! First off I apologise for any text wierdness but the computer I’m using has crazy jap programming and is hard to type on!

SO! About Glass Skin! I got the limited version…which came with a sexy poster and a sexy sticker…if you didn’t get the poster with your limited copy it’s because the store that you bought it from doesn’t get them. I also got and add for uroboros….aaand (and this is interesting) an Uroboros listening session that’s happening an entire month before the album comes out…it’s at a concert venue if I can remember correctly and of course it costs to get in…but if you can go…by all means…do so. Now on to the actuall single.

track 1. Glass Skin:

WAAAYYY different that the live version. No beginning guitar solo. More subdued. I was initially dissapointed but really it subdued. I was initially dissapointed but really it’s still too good to not like. It’s almost melodic…but more than that it good to not like. It’s almost melodic…but more than that it’s ominous. Beautiful and poisonus. That’s basically how I felt about it. Like the live version, it carries the same rich tones as Macabre and gives one a same rich tones as Macabre and gives one a very nostalgic feeling…at least it did me. It would be great even as a stand alone 1 song be great even as a stand alone 1 song single.

track2. undicided

Wow! I have to say, at first, when I read that they were re-doing this classic, I was more than a little worried but boy classic, I was more than a little worried but boy was I wrong. Unlike the origional version, which focuses so heavily on guitar work, this version is more concentrated on the vocals. Not to say that they skimp out on guitar wor at all but it is much less pronounced. The beginning riff is different…but in my opinion it’s better. The only thing I didn’t like about the origional was the JUNJUNJUN thing they did at the beginning and they got rid of that in this version and, in it’s stead put and actaul melody. That being said, this song does have it’s weak points. For instance, During points in the song, I couldn’t tell if it was in the song, I couldn’t tell if it was Shinya plaing drums, or a drum machine. It’s good though. I was pleased.

track 3. Agiated Screams of Magotts (unplugged)

Again…WOW…..this song is..um…unrecognizable. Basically what it is is clasicall sounding music (that we haven’T seen come out of sounding music (that we haven’t seen come out of them since Kisou I might add) which is very beautiful overlaying Kyo screaming. The first timeI listened to it I though…WTF.. timeI Listened to it I though…WTF…this isn’t Agitated Screams…then on the second listen, I heard it…alot of what he’s screaming is “I’ll rape your daughter on your grave”. And if you listen…that’s actually what it sounds like…so yay kyo!! It’S a really good song…but something I prolly won’t be able to listen to that ofetn…also I call it a song with much hesitation because it sounds more like torture session than a song…actually I thing that might be what it’s supposed to sound like…someone being killed and cursing his killer?…It’s intense.

track 4. ryojoku no ame (live)

Self explanitory…gourgeous and fantastic live recording..^_^

Lyrics are in both Japanese and english in the insert. READ THEM!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO OR YOU SUCK!!! Kyo wins yet again with the poetry in his lyrics…also…the translations have gotten better. Same lyrics as befor for undicided…I think there might be an extra line thrown in but I have to go home and find my notes from my kisou archive (lol…it’s sad that I have that) and check but I’m in Japan so that’s hard.

In other news…I went to Kabuki-cho yesterday and hosts actually came up and hit on me! and hosts actually came up and hit on me!!!it was neat…I got flyers from them!! I almost overloaded and died!!

So this time around, I got Megamasso’s newest single from an online source, Hear Japan.com. I suggest buying through them, its a good deal.

For roughly $4.50 I got:

-The 3 track single

- scans of the booklet (very high quality).

- A photo of Ryohei (also high quality)

- A set of live photos (about 7?)

- Four pages of translations of Megamasso blog entries (rather it was lyric translations…)

*AND*

A DVD quality AVI of the music video.

A very good deal I think.

I’ll review the single later since I’ve got to go to work in an hour.
